Lately, I’ve found myself completely drawn to one particular combination: raffia mixed with black. It’s a pairing that feels both grounded and mysterious, raw yet refined - and I can’t seem to get enough of it.
Raffia carries a natural warmth, a tactile honesty that speaks of craftsmanship, earth, and tradition. When it meets black, something magical happens. The contrast creates depth. The light, organic fibers are elevated by the darkness, while the black is softened and given life by the natural texture of the raffia.
I’ve always been fascinated by darker, earthy tones - colors that feel moody, calm and deeply rooted in nature. They create a sense of intimacy and quiet strength. Combined with natural materials, these tones invite you to slow down, to feel, to connect.
For me, raffia and black are more than just materials and colors. They’re a feeling - one that I’ll be exploring much more in the time to come.
